Sport Smart Watch: HONOR MagicWatch 2

You may be familiar with HONOR MagicWatch 2 because it looks similar to HUAWEI Watch GT 2.

There are some slight differences between MagicWatch 2 and GT2. In fact, HONOR MagicWatch 2 is an HONOR SmartWatch focused on sports. The watch comes in two sizes, runs Lite OS and uses HUAWEI’s new Kirin A1 chip.

Its price is reasonable, 159.99 pounds, so is it worth buying?

As mentioned earlier, the HONOR MagicWatch 2 looks almost the same as the HUAWEI Watch GT2, including options for 42 mm and 46 mm case sizes. The same round frame and the watch case made of stainless steel and plastic have an elegant and sporty appearance.

The smooth surface is flush with the touch screen, with a thickness of 9.8 mm. It is thinner than many smart watches. The size of the HONOR MagicWatch is a bit larger and heavier than that of the first generation. Overall, the second generation is a watch with a better appearance.

Both the 42 mm version and the 46 mm version have interchangeable strap and pin mechanisms. These allow you to remove the strap from the watch body. The larger MagicWatch 2 supports a 22 mm strap, while the smaller one is compatible with a 20 mm strap. Besides the leather watchband, there are silicone watchbands. This is a soft silicone watchband with good flexibility. It will not cause discomfort or irritation in any way.

On the right side of the watch, there are two physical buttons to browse the appearance of the current simplified version and the simplified version. These buttons are used to browse the running software. The bottom button can be assigned to the function you use most and is set to start tracking exercise by default.

Then there is the nice touch screen. The 46 mm version features a 1.39-inch, 454 x 454 resolution AMOLED display with 326 PPI pixels. Compared with the original Magic Watch, this is a great improvement in screen size and resolution. The ultra-clear display screen is a great experience when watching the time. Of course, it can display your health and fitness data. In bright sunlight, even if it is lower than the maximum brightness, it will not have much influence.

MagicWatch 2 has 15 corresponding fitness modes. There are swimming tracking functions. You can know your heart rate monitoring. TruRelax application can be started to do some guided breathing exercises to help you reduce stress.

Press the top physical button on the watch, and you can slide to get real-time heart rate and oxygen saturation, measure pressure level and view the latest sleep data. There is even a dedicated widget that can view the number of steps per day and the activity time. In terms of health and fitness, it can match most smart watches.

For sports enthusiasts, HONOR MagicWatch 2 is a good choice. The comprehensive functions are sufficient even for life scenes other than sports, and the price is appropriate.
