Snow leopard trek is situated mainly at the Hemis National Park in the eastern part of Ladakh region who make the trek more adventures more interesting or make the place consider as Best Place to Visit In Leh Ladakh. Day  1 – Delhi to Leh

Leh is situated at an elevation of 11,480 ft is the capital of Ladakh region. Leh is is the gateway of any tour and trek of Ladakh region as the place is connected with Delhi by air.

Day 2 – Leh acclimatization day

This is your acclimatization day too as you have gained so much altitude in just an hour. On this day you can arrange some sightseeing in Leh instead of relaxing in the hotel room. Leh is famous for some ancient monasteries. Shey gompa is one of that which is 15 km away from Leh. 

Day 3 – Leh to Zingchen via Spituk

On the third day after spending two days of acclimatization period you will be able to head towards base camp. Zingchen is a small village is the base camp of this trekking route. You have to arrange a reserved car towards Spituk. From spituk you have to cover 15 km to reach Zingchen. It will take 5 to 6 hours approximately by jeep or car.

Day 4 – Zingchen to Rumbak valley

You have to start your trek from Zingchen towards Hemis National park. You have to arrange a homestay IN rUMBAK or your guide can so it for you. Pitching tent is quite risky here because of lot of wild animals in the region.

Day 5 – Explore Rumbak Valley

This is the day for explore Rumbak valley. Rumbak valley is rich by some rare flora and fauna. Blue sheep, large horned sheep and tibetian wolf are often spotted here. Your guide can take you to the places from where you will get more chance to spot the animals

Day 6 – Visiting nearby villages of Rumbak valley

Local people of this region have rich culture and their own traditions. You can be close with them by tasting some local food and buying some local handcrafts. Don’t forget to drink local beer of this region and you can also join their local dance t get the real feel of their culture.

Day 7 – Rumbak valley to Zingchen to Leh

Try to start early in the morning towards Zingchen. it will take 4 hours as most of the trail is descending. Arrange a car from Zingchen and reach Leh within afternoon.

Day 8 – Leh to Delhi

Reach the Leh airport before schedule time and reach Delhi within two hours.
