She was born in Manhattan and her birth name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar. She was raised in The Bronx, New York City, by a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother. The 27-year-old Cardi B has seven siblings and her sister Henessy Carolina is the most popular among them. Cardi B had shown great love for music at an early age, which took her to the Renaissance High School for Musical Theater & Technology. She started stripping at the age of 19, which she regarded as a safeguard from a lot of things. She once said that when she started stripping, she went back to school.
