CLASSIFICATION OF SNEHANA-
1.) Internal oleation
Itinvolves the consumption ofSnehana Dravya in a prescribedornon-medicated version. Itcan or should notbemixedwith other ayurvedicfoods or medicines.The method lubricates thetissuesand other parts of thehuman body.
2) External oleation/massage/abhyanga
Itincludes head massage and body massage, as well asgargles, etc. that are medicated with oil.

The therapeutic emesis comes in twokinds:
1.)Gastric emesis – itstimulates the gastric mucosa andafterwards the vomiting center withinthe brain.

The coordination of vomiting is controlled by themedulla oblongata in the brainandis triggered bysalivation and nausea.

Vamana therapyif aggravatedkapha dosha causes diseaseorwhen dominant kapha dosha alongwith pitta dosha causesdiseases.There are certainlimitations and contraindications.
Thetreatment is appropriate fordiarrhea dysentery, dysentery, feversof recent origin such as cold, coughasthma, tumour,urinary tractdisorders, anorexia, skin disease breathing disorder, ingestion,goiter, fibroidetc.
Patientswho have kapha dosha lower thannormalshould not undergovammanatherapy.Pregnant women, withoutsnehana karma, strong agni(digestive system) people who arehungry, in stress and children, elderly who is weak, weak, has an enlargedthe spleen, intestinal parasitesan enlarged prostate, and so onin these situations, vamana karmais not recommended.
Virechan (purgation)is the 2nd karmaofpanchakarma. It isa widelyused therapy, especially inillnesses caused byPitta dosha imbalance. The pittadoesha is removedin a forceful manner through the anal channel.The doshas are eliminated withless effort and less hasslecompared to vamana karma. Itis also possible to administerinvata-pitta or pitta-kaphadoshaswhere pitta is dominant. Thetreatment requires adherence to a specificdietary regimen to reach thenormaleating habits and finishthetreatment.

Virechan drugs include milk, takra, gavakshi, vacha, punarnava, shala, panchmoola, saptala, haritaki, kashmarya, draksha, jyotishmati, vibhitaki, amalaki, abhaya etc.

1) Snigdha virechan- meaning ofSnigdha meansoily. It isindicated where pittaisassociated withvata dosha.
2.) Rooksha virechan- itis identified when pitta isconnected to kapha dosha.
Virechancan be givengout, piles, constipation as well as jaundice, liver disease and splenomegaly. Ascites,dysuria and pain in the largeintestine, disease of urogenitalsystem inmale and female and nasal bleeding, etc.
